You Would Have Loved Her
Lyrics & Music: © DK Sweet
My good friend Rich Elkerton sang this song at the reception celebrating my marriage to Carrie Anderson. He was the only one present besides me who personally knew who was singing to (so to speak:) my father and grandmother, who had both passed on to the Great Beyond and never got to meet Carrie.
I remember feeling good because a few girls wept hearing the song. Now that Carrie is gone, it's hard for me to listen to because it makes me cry too.
Sung here by the incredibly bad singer Your's Truly with background vocals by Rich.
A new friend BC Boren thinks this one's sure to be a contender on Country radio so we're going to produce another version in that vein. But will I still get a chance to use too much reverb?
